TURNING DESIGNS INTO BUSINESSES COMPETITION AWARD WINNER (CWRU + CIA)

Turning Designs into Businesses competition, convened by the Weatherhead School of Management and the Cleveland Institute of Art. The competition invites students from the two schools to put their heads together to create a business plan for a new product. The team was comprised of Kurt Ingersoll, Sam O. Morgan, and myself. As a team team we offered strong skills sets in finance, strategy, entrepreneurship, and design. We worked closely to co-create a business plan for the EsPresso™ focused on a target audience, competitive landscape, organization structure, startup financing, pricing strategy, finances, and next steps. The judges praised both the stylishness of the product as well as EsPresso’s information display.
